About the role
As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a highly motivated Account Development Manager to join the Gaming Account Development team in our Malta office.
This position is critical in building and maintaining long-term relationships with large international clients across the Gaming vertical. You will be responsible for a portfolio of Trustly merchants in the Online Gaming (gambling and betting) vertical. The responsibility includes the commercial relationship between Trustly and the merchants, with your objective being to grow the engagement and revenue generated from each of the merchants in your portfolio. You will be the main point of contact and work actively to increase Trustly’s share of wallet of payments on their sites as well as driving product and market penetration with each account. To be successful in this role you will need to collaborate with product leaders to build a thorough understanding of Trustly’s product suite as well as invest time to understand the business and build relationships with the merchants that are under your management. You will report directly to the Head of Gaming Account Development and will be a part of a team of 5 account developers based in Malta. What you'll do
  • Manage up-and-cross sell towards existing customers (upselling new markets, products or functionalities that Trustly offers as well as upsell to new brands/markets launched by merchants)
  • Identify revenue growth opportunities with your respective portfolio of merchants
  • Take ownership of commercial negotiations and other supporting activities with respective customer
  • Build relationships and long-term strategic cooperations with assigned customer accounts
  • Work thorough analysis of various pricing models with regards to pricing negotiations
  • Work towards achieving the individual targets and reaching the department KPIs
  • Attend industry events
Who you are
  • You are a business developer at heart with proven track record of successfully closing deals and reaching revenue targets
  • You have 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development roles in fintech, SAAS, payments, gaming, or IT industry
  • You’re great in building and maintaining relationships with various levels of stakeholders in your client base and the industry
  • You’re hard-working, ambitious, dedicated and willing to go the extra mile to successfully close a negotiation and maximise the value of the deal
  • You’re a very good communicator and have the ability to explain complex topics in a clear and understandable way
  • You are humble with a strong business acumen
  • You take great pride in your work and strive for excellence with drive and endurance
  • You have ownership mentality and accountability
  • You consider yourself great with numbers, analytical and able to use logic and problem-solving skills to find the relevant solutions
  • You are fluent in English, both verbal and written and it’s a bonus if you speak other languages
