Data Architect
Uni Systems, Malta

• Work with data providers to fill data gaps and/or to adjust source-system data structures to facilitate analysis and integration processes on the overall data ecosystem
• Design, develop, document and maintain data architecture, data modelling, data collection, transformation processes
• Design, develop, document and maintain BI models, reports, dashboard, security, governance and automation
• Design, develop, document and maintain ETL/ELT, integration, data cleaning, analysis and automation processes
• Design, develop, document, maintain and ensure data quality, validation and data lineage
• Design, develop, document, improve and maintain the Data Warehouse ecosystem (e.g. the DataDevOps lifecycle, architecture)
• Gather and assist on the business requirements process, identifying and map relevant data sources
• Support in the definition of policies, procedures, metadata, standards and templates of the overall data governance landscape
• Participation in meetings with the project and data teams

Requirements

• Minimum Education per EQF Level 5 (Diplomas of higher education and further education, foundation degrees and higher national diplomas)
• Minimum 6 years of IT professional experience

• Experience with contribution to the analysis, design, development, documentation, unit testing and maintenance of the Institution's Data Governance, Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence related artifacts.
• Design, develop, document and maintain data architecture, BI models, ETL/ELT, data modelling, data collection, transformation processes
• Key technology areas:
• Azure Data Platforms (such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Azure SQL Server, ADLS, Azure Databricks, Power BI, Azure Cognitive Services, Microsoft SSIS)
• Databricks, Apache Spark and Python Pandas
• Software development and/or data processing using Python, SQL, Power M and DAX
• Excellent communication skills
• Good command of English
