Where do you come into the picture?
The General Manager in Malta will direct and manage the organisation's business activities and develop and implement effective strategies and programs across the Malta business functions as required by the business.
The General Manager for Malta will assist NIUM in maintaining relationships with clients, increasing staff productivity, improving service, ensuring sustainability, and meeting business’ objectives.
Requirements
- Builds a high performance, input driven and multi-functional team in Malta
- Plays a role to attract, hire and retain talent
- Chair/participate in various committees (risk / compliance etc.) as required by the Maltese regulator
- Provides strong mentoring and coaching to all employees in Malta
- Drives strategic meetings with team to help set program direction and priorities
- Acts as an escalation point for HR issues within the Malta team
- Supervises other employees, which might require scheduling of staff, recruitment, and disciplinary conversations
- Develops and maintains office staff wellbeing budgets
- Aides in marketing and public relations for the Malta company
- Maintains a positive outlook and attitude about the organisation and its goals, since this will directly translate to how the staff takes on challenges and processes changes
- Set policies and processes with HR
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
- Oversee recruitment and training policies of new employees
- Evaluate and improve overall operations
- Direct the employee assessment process across the Malta company
- Prepare regular reports for the exec
- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
Key Requirements
- Degree in Business Management or Masters in Business Administration or equivalent
