Role Description
Gaming Innovation Group is seeking a Corporate amp; Commercial Lawyer for a full-time role. The Corporate amp; Commercial Lawyer will be responsible for managing legal issues and providing legal advice to the business. The daily tasks associated with this role will include drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, confidentiality agreements, handling non-complex corporate transactions and keeping corporate records as well as maintaining a contract management system and supporting the company secretary in his duties.
- Monitor regulatory and legal developments that impact our business and update our key management team;
- Apply for any licence available globally for affiliates;
- Manage relationships with external counsel supporting us apply for licences or maintain our licences in any jurisdiction;
- Maintain due diligence documents structured and up to date;
- Liaise with key employees required to file apply for or maintain personal approvals or licences;
- Keep a register of all licences and keep a calendar of actions necessary to keep those licences and related approvals in good standing;
- Communicate with authorities;
- Negotiate affiliate deals with operators;
- Draft, review and negotiate legal documents and commercial contracts as well as providing feedback on legal terms and conditions.
- Maintain an automated contract management system amp; manage the lifecycle of a contract;
- Create and maintain the regulatory guides for each market in which we participate;
- Provide advice on legal matters which may range from regulatory, commercial, corporate or employment issues;
- Working with our external legal partners where necessary
- Support General Counsel in any legal projects which the Group would be involved with;
- Support the organisation with any requests for legal support or legal advice.
Qualifications
- Legal knowledge with emphasis on corporate and commercial law
- Experience dealing with corporate transactions, such as share issues, share transfers, intra group mergers, keeping of corporate registers etc.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial arrangements, including NDAs, licensing agreements, services agreements, and technology agreements.
- Strong understanding of legal issues related to technology and online businesses.
- Experience in data privacy, including GDPR compliance, data protection policies, and processing agreements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Experience working in the iGaming industry is preferred.
- Law degree from a reputable university.
- Qualified to practice law in a European country.
