Job Description
Rhino Entertainment is currently seeking a Fraud Detection amp; Prevention Expert to join our Operations Team at our vibrant offices in Malta.
As Fraud Detection amp; Prevention Expert, reporting directly to our Director of Operations, you fill a core role in safeguarding our operations against potential risks and fraudulent activities. We are seeking an individual with a deep understanding of fraud prevention tools, rule-based engines for alerting and familiarity with PaymentIQ. Expertise in iGaming, anti-money laundering, responsible gaming and fraud prevention will be invaluable in driving your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively check customer accounts for suspicious activity, including fraud, bonus abuse, breaches in promotion terms and conditions as well as other forms of complex bonus abuse that may be detected
- Support amp; Train Operations Team agents to handle fraudulent and bonus abuse activity in accordance with internal procedures and in an efficient and timely manner
- Utilise advanced risk and fraud prevention tools and technologies to detect, tackle, or escalate individual cases, involving but not limited to credit card fraud, chargebacks, bank fraud, money laundering, identity theft, and phishing accordingly
- Implement and maintain a rule-based real-time alerting process and define appropriate responses to potential suspicious transactions
- Generate regular reports on fraud trends, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies in order to inform the Operations Team of bonus abuse amp; risk trends and come up with processes to counteract and detect such trends
- Conduct risk assessments on player accounts and transactions to identify potential threats
- Implement strategies to mitigate risks and enhance overall fraud prevention measures
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and implement necessary changes to internal procedures
- Maintain detailed documentation of investigations and actions taken for audit and regulatory purposes
- Suggest areas of improvement within the Operations Team and its procedures related to risk and fraud
- Create and maintain documentation and knowledge base related to risk and fraud prevention
Requirements
Qualities we are looking for:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar or related role within the iGaming industry
- In-depth knowledge of fraud prevention measures and tools
- Familiarity with PaymentIQ will be considered a strong asset
- Knowledge of local Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Responsible Gaming (RG) regulations in multiple jurisdictions
- Data driven - you have an analytical mind, with a high level of attention to detail
- Team player with a positive attitude and proactive approach to work
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and work effectively under pressure
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
Note:The role is office based (Malta/Hybrid) on a Monday to Friday work schedule. There may be the occasional need to work beyond standard business hours based on operational requirements. Additionally, this role may involve periodic travel to our offices in Bitola, North Macedonia.
