Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Lead PerformanceArchitect to lead our performance testing and optimization efforts by meticulously analysing, assessing, and summarising the performance of our iGaming platforms. The primary objectives of this role include establishing short-term and long-term performance goals and optimising both software and infrastructure to achieve maximum stability and speed.

You will be tasked with developing and supervising a thorough performance management plan. This involves identifying and resolving performance issues, implementing system enhancements through scaling applications and diverse technologies, and supporting our expanding client base. Your tasks will encompass collecting data and information related to processes requiring optimization, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies or process enhancements to effect positive changes.

Crucially, your role will involve fostering collaboration among teams and contributing to the establishment and maintenance of a shift-left approach to Performance Engineering. In addition to your individual responsibilities, you will lead a team of performance engineers, guiding and coordinating their efforts to collectively achieve the organization's performance objectives. You are expected to identify and address potential performance risks through the review of preliminary designs and the recommendation of optimizations. Additionally, you will conduct a performance analysis on completed projects to identify opportunities for further enhancing platform utility and ensuring system stability.

The ideal candidate for this position is a full-stack Performance Engineering expert with a robust understanding of current iGaming business performance models and performance architecture.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of performance engineers
  • Develop an integrated performance improvement strategy.
  • Review, document, and rectify performance issues.
  • Identify potential improvement areas within our platform.
  • Conduct process performance benchmarks and implement process improvements.
  • Keep stakeholders/management informed about the progress of performance improvement projects.
  • Optimize our branded software and hardware systems for enhanced performance.
  • Provide briefings to Tech teams and assess overall software/hardware performance.
Requirements

Possessing any or a combination of the following will be regarded as an advantage:

  • Easy-going and pleasant to work with
  • 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proven track record in managing and coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making ability
  • Experience with the following technologies:
      • Load Testing tools (JMeter, K6, etc.)
      • Kubernetes and microservice architecture
