Job Description
At Find.co, we are a fast growing media company within the iGaming, Crypto, Tech, Business amp; Finance industries, seeking an accomplished and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to strengthen our finance department and spearhead our financial management efforts.
As a key player in our dynamic organization, the successful candidate will contribute to our ongoing success by combining proven financial expertise, cutting-edge technological proficiency, and a nuanced understanding of cryptocurrency transactions.
Reporting to the Financial Controller in the Finance organization, the Senior Accountant will have a crucial contribution in managing our company's financial operations and ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting, implementing efficient processes, and staying ahead of industry developments.
Prior experience of working within a smaller or mid-sized organization and an appreciation of the differences that come with that environment would be hugely advantageous. Prior exposure to marketing, advertising, media, gambling or crypto would be a strong benefit.
Responsibilities
Financial Management:
- Lead and oversee day-to-day accounting operations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring precision and adherence to the accounting standards
Bookkeeping:
- Maintain meticulous and up-to-date records of financial transactions, serving as the guardian of financial accuracy.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies, safeguarding the integrity of our financial records and proactively identify areas for improvement in financial processes.
Month-End Closing:
- With the guidance of the Financial Controller, establish and implement a monthly closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Perform month-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts, reviewing journal entries, and preparing financial statements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial information and resolve any discrepancies.
- Analyze monthly financial results, identify trends, and provide valuable insights to management.
Software Proficiency:
- Leverage advanced proficiency in accounting software, notably Xero and NetSuite, to optimize financial processes and streamline efficiency.
- Implement best practices for financial management, leveraging technology to optimize financial operations.
Reporting:
- Generate regular, comprehensive financial reports for executive management, offering critical insights into the company's financial health.
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT reports, ensuring compliance with Tax regulations.
Cryptocurrency Knowledge:
- Stay at the forefront of developments in the cryptocurrency industry, specifically related to accounting practices.
- Provide expert guidance on accounting for cryptocurrency transactions, ensuring accurate and compliant financial treatment.
Requirements
- Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA, demonstrating a high level of expertise in accounting.
- Proven experience (Min. 5+ years) as a Senior Accountant, showcasing a deep understanding of accounting principles and elaboration of financial statements.
- Previous experience in a role involving cryptocurrency accounting, showcasing familiarity with industry-specific financial practices would be a strong benefit
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (Xero, NetSuite) with the ability to leverage technology for efficient financial processes.
- Well organized with a methodical approach to managing workload and prioritizing activities according to business need.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring precise and accurate financial reporting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Experience working remotely in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Based in Europe (CET time zone) for enhanced collaboration and proximity with the team.
- Perfectly fluent in English (both written and spoken).
