Novibet is looking for the next DevOps Team Lead to join our IT team in our offices in Malta!

As the DevOps Team Lead, you will focus more on team management rather than the technical aspect of DevOps. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations and management of our DevOps team. Your exceptional leadership and expertise will be instrumental in driving the successful delivery of projects and ensuring efficient collaboration between different teams.
As the DevOps Team Lead, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and leading the DevOps team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Managing the day-to-day activities and deployments for the DevOps team, prioritizing tasks, and optimizing workflows to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Ensuring that all software deployments meet the highest standards of quality and security, implementing testing and monitoring strategies to maintain a stable and reliable production environment.
- Identifying potential risks and issues related to DevOps processes, and implement proactive measures to mitigate them effectively.
- Promoting and enforcing the practice of maintaining comprehensive documentation for all processes, procedures, and configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and smooth team operations.
- Setting clear and achievable objectives for the DevOps team, aligning them with the overall company goals and mission.
- Collaborating with project managers, product owners, and other stakeholders to contribute to project planning and estimation, ensuring that the DevOps team has the necessary resources, skills, and support to meet project objectives.
- Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement within the team, promoting the adoption of best practices, new technologies, and automation to optimize processes.
- Fostering effective communication and collaboration between the DevOps team and other cross-functional teams, such as development, QA, and operations, to promote a seamless end-to-end delivery pipeline.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in leading and managing a DevOps or Development team, with a strong track record of successful project deliveries.
- Knowledge of DevOps and Development methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and tactically.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with different teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in driving process improvement and empowering your team to implement automation solutions.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
