Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a HR Manager to join the HR team of Europe's largest airline group.

Reporting to the Head of HR, the HR Manager will manage the HR function, industrial relations, litigation, change initiatives and relationship local authorities across Italy. The ideal candidate will have some HR experience but importantly must have the right skill set to fill the role. In this regard, you will have excellent attention to detail, an ability to multitask complex employee queries and large-scale projects / legal cases at the same time, in addition to managing a team of HR staff on all day to day HR matters across the designated countries.

Ryanair are at a time of significant growth with a further 150 new aircraft to be delivered and plans to increase to over 225m passengers per year within the next 3 years so it is imperative to ensure the Company's business model and strategy are considered at all times, whether you are making rapid decisions on day to day matters or working on long terms projects.

Duties include:

  • Manage a team of HR professionals on all HR matters including disciplinary investigations, absence management, contracts, payroll, employee queries, CLA implementation and liaising with local authorities on a range of topics.
  • Ensuring the HR team meet key KPI’s, complete weekly action items and collate the team report for the Head of HR, including identifying areas requiring improvement and actioning same.
  • Implementing changes to T amp; C’s, employment policies/practices and CLA’s to ensure compliance with labour law in local markets.
  • Industrial relations including union negotiations and collective bargaining.
  • Monitoring and identifying company and employee trends including absenteeism
  • Liaising, supporting and advising management at all levels across the business on all HR related matters, ranging from general queries and grievances to disciplinary investigations and legal case preparation.
  • Working on ad hoc projects as and when they arise.
  • Regular travel across Europe

Requirements

  • Suitable HR experience- Candidates who have experience with Italian Labour Law and HR practices will be highly regarded
  • Self-Starter with ability to deliver accurate work under tight deadlines
  • Proven track record of operating in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent English communication, both written and verbal
  • Fluency in Italian will be highly beneficial
  • Relevant Degree or Masters
  • Strong PC Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
